Thank you Seniors!
Posted on 02/28/2025
We honored our 7 seniors at the home basketball game. We celebrate not only the milestones these seniors have achieved but the hard work, passion, and teamwork they’ve shown. The legacy they leave behind will continue to inspire future generations of athletes. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors, and know they will go on to do great things.
Seniors thank you for your incredible contributions to the team, and for making this season one to remember. You will always be a part of this family, Lions Forever.
About our Seniors:
Gracie Stamp
Gracie was a member of the Varsity sideline cheerleading team for 1 year and the Varsity Competitive Cheerleading Team for 2 years. Gracie's Favorite memory was when we would have our team lock in and spend all night together practicing and at the end of the night we would sit in a circle and say our goals for the season....which eventually turned into us talking about our problems and crying for 2 hours. But it brought us all together. My advice to underclassmen, make the most of the time that you have, never take things for granted because everything has an ending. After Highschool, Gracie plans to attend Michigan State University or Western Michigan University to study Social Work and American sign language.
Vittoria Rosa
This is Vittorias first season as a competitive cheerleader. Her favorite memory this season was coming to her first practice. Vittoria’s advice to underclassmen is “Try new things and make your life full of memories.” After graduation Vittoria plans to attend university.
Jerzie Hernandez
Jerzie has been a member of the varsity sideline and competitive cheerleading teams for 2 years. Her favorite memory is the cry circle during the lock in. JErzies advice to underclassmen is to never forget that each of you have the ability to leave a lasting impact on this team, keep pushing yourself, support one another, and know your hard work doesn't go unnoticed. After graduation Jerzie plans to attend college where she will major in psychology.
Kylee Bennink;
Kylee has been a member of varsity sideline cheerleading team and competitive cheerleading team for 3 years. Kylees favorite memory is “Our first year as a competitive team we really wanted to get a score of 555, i remember setting alarms for that time and screaming the number with teammates. it’s the best feeling ever reaching your goals with the people you love.” Kylees advice to underclassman is do it not just for yourself, but the person beside you. Kylee is is still exploring different options for after graduation and taking the time to make the best decision for her future.
Nylah Simard.
Nylah was a member of the Varsity Sideline Cheerleading Team and Varsity Competitive Cheerleading team for 3 years. Nylahs favorite memory was When we had a competition at Brethren and scored a 673. Nylahs advice to underclassmen is Don't be afraid to try new things, Push each other and get out your comfort zone, you'll only get better. After High School Nylah plans Go to MCC for Business Transfer Program for 2 years and Transfer to A University for the other 2 years to major in either Accounting or Marketing.
Dakota Rahe
Dakota has been a member of varsity sideline cheerleading team and competitive cheerleading team for 3 years. Dakotas favorite memory is every time one of the girls get a new skill, I love seeing someone finally achieve their goal that they've been working so hard on. Dakotas advice to underclassman is “Take in every practice, game, and meet; because before you know it, it will be your senior night. These are the years you won't get back, so just have fun and know you are so loved!” After graduation Dakota plans on attending college at Aquinas or Ferris for Social Work. She also hopes to continue cheer through the college she attends.
Aaliyah Hernandez
Aaliyah was a member of the varsity sideline cheerleading team for 4 years and varsity competitive cheerleading team for 3 years. Aaliyah’s favorite memory is when they announced we were runner up in our conference. I loved seeing everyone face of realization that our hard work payed off and that we’ve made history. Her advice to underclassmen is Appreciate every practice, competition, and team bonding activity. It goes by way too fast and before you know it, you’ll have to be writing one of these too. Push yourself and your teammates to the best of their abilities. Be proud of everything you have accomplished because I promise, it will not go unnoticed. After High School Aaliyah plans on going to Michigan State University/Grand Valley State University to major in Kinesiology. After obtaining my degree, I plan to be a Physical Therapist or an Athletic Trainer.
